Lunchbox Inspiration Week 6

by Heidi @ Food Doodles on October 19, 2015

This week we had another four day week due to Canadian Thanksgiving 🙂  So the first lunch this week, on Tuesday looked like this.  A leftover crepe with a little bit of butter and cinnamon sugar inside, a cut up apple, grapes, a banana that I wrote on with a toothpick and an energy bite.  There’s only one lunch in this picture because I wasn’t sure my daughter was going to go, but she did end up going and I packed her lunch(exactly the same as this one) at the last minute 🙂

The next day both kids had a Thermos full of leftover homemade tomato soup with whole wheat macaroni in it.  A slice of homemade bread with cheese for dipping and a container of fresh pineapple.

Thursday I sent some leftover potatoes from the night before(strangely enough my kids love eating these cold), a cut up apple, some cucumber slices and a bag of air popped popcorn with a little butter and salt on it 🙂  I ended up sending a little dip for the cucumbers too.

And on Friday I sent a waffle with a little bit of homemade jam in the center.  I made this batch of waffles with spelt flour and they turned out much lighter in color, almost washed out looking.  Good thing they were still yummy!  I also sent a bit of homemade venison pepperoni which I’ll be posting a recipe for when I can figure out how to make it look as good as it tastes 🙂  I do have this vegetarian Seitan Pepperoni recipe on the blog that you can check out!  I also sent a fruit of their choice, which by the end of the week was either apple or orange 🙂

Have a great week!
