Herbal Iced Tea

Author Heidi @ Food Doodles

Ingredients

  • 4 herbal tea bags
  • 3 green tea bags
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar or slightly less honey or a combo of the two
  • At least a 6 cup container for making and storing the tea in the fridge

Instructions

  • In your container for making and storing the tea add 6 cups of boiling water or just add 6 cups of water to a pot on the stove and bring to a boil. Add the herbal tea bags and leave the water to cool while the herbal tea steeps. Once the water reaches 170-180 degrees F add the green tea bags and only let steep for 2 minutes.
  • Once done, remove all the tea bags and stir in the lemon juice and sugar or honey. Place in the fridge until cold and then serve :)

Notes

For this tea I just used regular Nestle green tea bags, if you're using a different variety of green tea, adjust this recipe to brew your tea in the best way for the tea you have.
If you'd like to make this recipe with all herbal tea, just use 6 tea bags of your favorite variety.
If using loose leaf tea, simply double the amount of tea that you would use for hot tea.
If this tea is too strong for your tastes, you can add a little water before serving or just serve over ice and the ice will slowly dilute the tea :)
