Chocolate Hazelnut Butter


  • 2 cups roasted hazelnuts ground into butter
  • 2 oz your favorite chocolate or a darker variety than you usually enjoy or you can add a little bit of unsweetened cocoa if you want more of a cocoa flavor
  • a pinch salt


  • Once the hazelnuts are ground into a very smooth butter with the salt melt your chocolate and pour into the food processor.  I used semi sweet chocolate and after I tasted it found it was too sweet and not chocolatey enough so I added about a teaspoon of cocoa powder.  Blend till completely smooth again and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
