Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Breast

  • 2-3 frozen, skinless chicken breasts (whatever will fit in your air fryer in one layer)
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot or smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper


  • Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil.
  • Spray or rub each chicken breast with oil and season each side with seasoning.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 360 ºF (180 ºC).
  • Put the chicken breast in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 10 minutes (see below for baking times based on chicken thickness), flip, and cook for another 5-15 minutes or until you have an internal temp of of 165 (74 ºC).
  • Keep these air fryer chicken breasts stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator. To reheat just place them back into the air fryer at 360°F (182°C) for about 5 minutes and enjoy.


Here's how long to cook frozen chicken breast in the air fryer, according to the thickness of the breast. Flip half-way through:
  • 1/2 inch (1.2cm) thick: about 10 minutes
  • 1 inch (2.5cm) thick: about 15 minutes
  • 1 1/2-inch (4cm): about 20-22 minutes
  • 2-inch (5cm): about 28–30 minutes
