Which information is being collected?
When you visit my website, the web server software automatically collects certain information about your visit in a log. Keeping such a log is standard practice and facilitates auditing and error handling. Among others, this log contains:

I collect no other information about you unless you explicitly choose to provide it. The latter typically happens when you subscribe for site updates, send me an email or leave a comment, where your name, email address, and whatever other information you provide is recorded.
I will not give any personally identifiable information about you, my visitors, to anyone except when required to do so by law.
What do I do with your data?
I use the aforementioned information to better understand how you, my readers, are using this website and to subsequently improve your experience.
Occasionally, I will compile aggregate statistics about the visitors of this site. No personally identifiable information is included in this type of reporting.
